Lyle’s Golden Syrup
In 1882, Abram Lyle opened his London refinery, Plaistow Wharf, and began refining sugar and producing Lyle’s® Golden Syrup. Lyle’s ®Golden Syrup’s wonderfully evocative green and gold tin has remained unchanged since that time and has never been made anywhere else.
Today, the Lyle’s brand offers a range of retail products and specialist ingredients for businesses, including the iconic Lyle’s® Golden Syrup, as well as Lyle’s® Black Treacle and a range of toppings perfect for pancakes and porridge, as well as baked and chilled goods.
The range of Lyle’s® products are still today produced at Plaistow Wharf, less than a mile away from Thames Refinery in London, UK.
